The Smart Vault concept
Instead of a pure EOA account (where the private key has total, immediate power), a hybrid model:
- EOA Signer: your key remains the primary identity.
- Smart Vault (executor): a contract that holds assets and enforces security rules.
- VKX Relayer: gas sponsorship keeps working (100% gas-free for you).
Protection against seed leaks
Even if an attacker gets your 12 words, they can't drain the Smart Vault instantly: the contract can require extra signatures (biometrics/passkeys) or impose a cooldown on large transfers, giving you time to regain control.
Progressive migration
Migration is invisible: new deposits gradually move to the Vault and swaps start using this extra layer automatically. This puts VKX at the forefront of Account Abstraction (ERC-4337) while keeping fees low.
